Good news for the installation industry. The HR series has just added two new models: the ultra-compact HR-6 and HR-8 enclosures. Recently unveiled at the ISE trade show in Amsterdam, these new enclosures offer exceptional reliability and high acoustic performance in a very compact form factor. Both models are passive, two-way, full-range speakers. These pure installation speakers are ideal for a wide variety of applications in all types of projects, such as entertainment venues, multipurpose spaces, hotels, theaters, public buildings, and many more.
The HR-6 is an ultra-compact unit weighing just 7.5 kg (30 cm tall). This small enclosure features a 6.5” woofer with a 2” voice coil (16-ohm impedance) and a 1” Mylar tweeter. It offers a frequency response of 88 Hz to 18 kHz with a coverage pattern of 90° x 90° (119 dB / 200 W).
The HR-8 enclosure is a very compact unit that houses an 8-inch neodymium speaker with a 2-inch aluminum voice coil (8-ohm impedance). For high frequencies, it features a 1-inch compression driver with a 1.75-inch aluminum voice coil (polyester diaphragm). The system delivers a frequency response of 78 Hz to 18 kHz (125 dB / 300 W) with a coverage pattern of 90° x 60° (rotatable horn).
Both enclosures are constructed from 15 mm thick multilayer birch plywood finished with a highly durable polyurea coating. For connections, it features two Neutrik SpeakOn NL4MP connectors, but can optionally be fitted with a block of four installation terminals (7.62 mm spacing). The HR-6 and HR-8 enclosures are specially designed to be highly versatile, making them ideal for all types of general installation projects. These two new models will be available in May, and the first production runs have already sold out.
