Compact Line Array

High-power linear array element. It consists of a 2 x 8” transducer (2” voice coil) with a 1.4” output driver and a waveguide system that provides precise coverage of 100°H x 10°V. Peak sensitivity of 136 dB.

The LAIA-28P enclosure is a mid-format line array module that offers an ideal solution for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications requiring a compact, practical, and reliable line array system. Depending on the configuration, the system is powered by the GTX series, 4-channel amplifiers with extremely high power output and exceptional efficiency.

They come equipped with a high-quality FIR DSP featuring high-performance DSP processing at 96 kHz and a large IPS display with a touchscreen user interface. An advanced audio power management system has been implemented in the GTX series design. This allows the user to configure the power distribution among the channels via the DSP, enabling them to deliver maximum power through a single channel if desired.

Hardware for LAIA-28P

Enclosure

The LAIA-28P cabinet is constructed from 11-ply premium birch plywood (15mm thickness) and finished with polyurea coating

Internal design

The internal structure of the LAIA- 28P is heavily braced for greater longevity and all parts are assembled on metal inserts with metric screws.

Grill

The LAIA-28P has two heavy duty, powder coated front grille with a special acoustic rear fabric to protect the transducers against dust and dirt.

Rigging

The 3 point rigging system with 2 front retractile levers and 1 centre/rear point enables up to 16 LAIA- 28 cabinets to be flown in a single array, with optional splay angles, from between 0º to 10º with 1º step increments to create the desired curve.

The system can also be rigged and angled in retracted position enabling a much easier set-up without the need to lift each cabinet individually.

Transport

The LAIA-28P is easy to transport thanks to its dedicated flight case where it can be stowed in rest position. With craddle option: no need to lock pins.
