Located on the rooftop of Vanshree Towers in Marathahalli, Beige is defined as a luxury lounge inspired by desert aesthetics. The venue’s architecture, featuring neutral tones, raw rock textures, and an “Arabian oasis” atmosphere, demanded an audio solution that maintained visual sobriety without compromising sound pressure control.
The project, consulted and designed by DS Rana and integrated by SD Audio Solution, focused on creating a seamless transition between indoor areas and the expansive outdoor terrace, where environmental acoustic conditions present specific dispersion challenges.
Outdoor Area Technical Configuration
For the rooftop terrace, the priority was directivity control and weather resistance. 20 WCX-8 loudspeakers were selected, as their configuration allows for uniform coverage in open spaces.
Signal management was entrusted to two LUKA-226 processors, ensuring coherent phase response and precise transducer protection.
The system sizing has been calculated to ensure optimum dynamic headroom, guaranteeing signal integrity across the entire spectrum. To achieve this, MH Series amplifiers have been deployed, high-efficiency, four-channel units that offer precise control over power delivery:
-
6 x MH4-4000 amplifiers: Configured to provide operational stability and constant current delivery for the mid and high-frequency bands.
-
2 x MH4-5200 amplifiers: Specifically intended to manage transient demands and the low-frequency load in the outdoor areas.
System Synchronisation and Low-Frequency Reinforcement
The acoustic design integrated a robust infrastructure for the indoor area and outdoor bass reinforcement. The systems were configured under the architecture of the BS-8 cabinets and BS-112 subwoofers, utilising 8-inch units for the near-field and 15-inch subwoofers to guarantee linear extension across the low-frequency spectrum.
The implementation at Beige Bangalore achieves an integration where sound reinforcement is not perceived as an intrusive component, but rather as an organic extension of the architecture. This project exemplifies the technical rigour applied to high-end hospitality spaces, where acoustic precision is fundamental to preserving the integrity of the design.
