For Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, music is not just part of the ambiance: it is a central piece of its brand identity. Located in Puerto Banús, this hotel combines contemporary design with a dynamic schedule of events, live performances and DJ sessions. Within this setting, the stage is a key space that requires an appropriate sound system to support the hotel’s daily activities.
Marine-grade finish: durability under demanding environmental conditions
Lynx Pro Audio was responsible for designing and implementing the speaker and amplification system, specifically tailored for high-traffic outdoor areas. The installation needed a solution capable of delivering balanced sound pressure, clear intelligibility, and stable performance throughout long operating hours. The technical choice focused on the HR series components, all finished in white and with Marine-grade versions to ensure resistance against moisture, sun exposure, and salty air without compromising the aesthetic of the surroundings.
The main coverage was handled by passive HR-1264 speakers with 12” drivers, controlled dispersion patterns, and 700 W AES power. These speakers are engineered to maintain consistent pressure and precise directivity, allowing them to cover wide areas without the need to raise volume excessively. They are especially effective in open spaces where clear ambiance is required without overwhelming acoustic presence.
Low-frequency reinforcement with HR-18 subwoofers
To reinforce low frequencies, the system includes HR-18 subwoofers, featuring 18” transducers and 1000 W AES power. Their extended response from 30 Hz provides a firm, controlled bass foundation, ideal for background music or more demanding sessions without upsetting the system’s balance or saturating the space.
Centralized amplification with XT-10K and Dante control
All amplification and processing is managed through a XT-10K unit, a digital 4-channel amplifier (4×3500 W) with integrated DSP and Dante connectivity. This solution enables the use of FIR filters, signal limiting, zone-by-zone control, and consistent response throughout the day. Additionally, its remote management capabilities simplify tuning and maintenance, especially in environments without dedicated technical staff on-site.
The result is a professional audio system perfectly adapted to the hotel’s real-world conditions. Discreet, efficient, and durable, this project demonstrates how a properly sized system can seamlessly blend into a premium environment without disrupting the design or guest experience. In spaces where image is everything, sound must also speak clearly.
