Bali seems to be the perfect place for our weather-resistant small enclosures Juno series. 

Our Indonesian distributor (Melodia) and their AV consultant partner Sontastic have been tasked with installing the Mamaka Hotel, south Bali. This is one of the most visited cities in Asia and since it has a tropical climate with heavy rain, outdoor installations need weather-resistant cabinets. 

MAMAKA Hotel is a beach-front urban resort for modern travellers, foodies and social-surfers alike, perfectly positioned in the thriving neighbourhood of Kuta Legian. It is part of the Ovolo Hotels group, an independent group with boutique lifestyle hotels.

49 Juno enclosures have been installed, distributed among the entrance of the hotel, the restaurant, lounge bar, DJ area and swimming pool. The white finish 6″ speakers (JN-6T) were installed mainly indoor while the black finish 8″ speakers can be found between the pool & DJ area.

This is a detailed breakdown of the sound installation: 

  • Entrance, 2 white JN-6T speakers
  • Lounge bar, 7 white JN-6T speakers
  • Restaurant, 6 white JN-6T speakers
  • Dining bar & DJ area, 17 JN-6T speakers (11 in white colour and  6 in black colour)
  • VIP mezzanine area, 3 white JN-6T speakers
  • Pool, 8 black JN-8T speakers
  • VIP pool, 6 black JN-6T speakers

 

Most of the speakers have been set up horizontally, using the U-bracket supplied as standard with each cabinet.

The Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium (奥体中心体育馆) is located in the north of Beijing, across the road from the Olympic Park, the Olympic Forest Park and the Olympic Village.

In the sports meeting, 8 active line array speakers of Lynx Pro Audio were installed in the main field (PA): 8 GXR-LA10A line array cabinets and 4 GXR-D15A subwoofers. The line array is divided into 2 groups, each group has 4  GXR-LA10A cabinets and 2 GXR-D15A subwoofers.

This installation was provided by Xi Ya Linke.

The Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, with a 7,000 spectators capacity, is located in the southern part of the Olympic Park of the Chaoyang district, at the north of the Chinese capital and close to the Olympic Center Stadium.

This sports hall was built in 2006 and held the competitions for the preliminary phase of the handball tournament of the 2008 Olympic Games. The hall can be used to hold competitions in basketball, volleyball, table tennis, gymnastics, wrestling etc.

“La Bonita de 1850” is a tapas & beer venue located in the centre of Albacete city, Spain. The sound installation was in charge of the audiovisual company Elemtec, specialized in sound and light.

Elemtec has rely once again on Lynx Pro Audio’s sound systems for this venue. Specifically, the QB series and BS series are the ideal solution for fixed installations like this one. Both of the series have cabinets with a discreet and elegant size and design.

Sound equipment installed: 4 BS-8 cabinets, 2 BS-112 subwoofers, 4 QB-5 compact cabinets and 2 SUB-08 subwoofers.

The BS series has been designed to offer an affordable yet reliable series of cabinets which not only deliver high performance but have a sleek & attractive design and finish so that they not only sound great but also look impressive in any install. 

The BS-8 cabinet is complement with the BS-112 subwoofer for the low frequencies reinforcement. This subwoofer offers high power handling and high sensitivity with low distortion and ultra low air noise. The cone is waterproof and rubber suspension has been treated on both sides and has been optimized for direct radiation subwoofer applications.

On the other hand, the QB series is the smallest series that Lynx Pro Audio offers, designed and intended for background sound reinforcement. The QB-5 is a two-way versatile, ultracompact light weight, passive cabinet offering high-performance for background sound applications whilst the SUB-08 subwoofer has been designed to be used with the QB-5 to extend the low frequency support.

Voltereta Bali, literally translated as ‘Somersault Bali’ in Spanish, is a restaurant with a unique concept that unites nature and food. Eating is an experience, a way to connect with nature in a magical environment in the very heart of Valencia.

Founded by four young people who decided to start a business based on their trips to Indonesia. The decoration evokes Bali’s scenery and the food mixes flavours from over 20 countries.

The restaurant offers international food with a mediterranean twist, based on ‘padang‘, which means serving a lot of small dishes in the center of the table to share with eaters, something typical at Indonesian restaurants and not dissimilar to tapas.

Voltereta Bali’s goal is to make you believe you are in Bali, surrounded by the rainforest and the calming noises of nature. To do so it’s essential to have a high-end background sound and that’s why the technical team chose Lynx Pro Audio’s professional equipment.

24 QB-5 cabinets and 6 HR-28 have been installed around the venue. The QB-5 is a two-way versatile, ultracompact light weight, passive cabinet offering high-performance for background sound applications. For the reinforcement of the low frequencies, 4 HR-18/6 and 4 DR-N12 cabinets.

The venue is a two-story building. The ground floor simulates a rural area, with large artificial trees in the center of the canteen. In the upper part there is a spectacular terrace surronded by nature, with camping tents where you can enjoy your meal.

This restaurant aims to be a way of escape from daily stress to focus on well-being through international and mediterranean food. It represents a small part of Bali within the Mediterranean.

The 2019 Super Penguin Celebrity Game has been successfully held in Shanghai by Tencent Sports, one of the most powerful live-streaming sports platforms in China.

The Super Penguin Celebrity Game is a celebrity basketball event that brings together professional basketball players and hottest entertainment celebrities. Famous NBA Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker joined hands with Li Chen, Zheng Zheng, Xiao Jingteng and Yan Aaron, among other celebrities. They prepared a basketball game for the audience.

The event was supported by Lynx Pro Audio professional sound equipment, installed by Beijing Xi Ya Linke Trading Co. Ltd, official distributor in China. Let’s take a look at the audio configuration of the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center:

The PA is made up of 32 line array LX-V12, flown in groups of 8 cabinets on both sides of the stadium. In addition, 16 line array GXR-LA10A on the other side of the stadium, distributed in groups of 8 cabinets by each side.

Around the basketball court there are several LX-318C subwoofers for the reinforcement of the low frequencies of the entire venue.

The Super Penguin Celebrity Game, held at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center, is composed of a basketball reality show and a basketball game. The basketball reality show involves 32 entertainment stars, which are divided into 16 teams. The game ended at 45-56, winning the Red Force team over Blue Energy team. Ye Zhou, who scored 12 points, won the MVP with his excellent performance.

Around 490 million people, more than one-third of the Chinese population, watched the basketball league’s latest 2018-19 season games on Tencent-affiliated platforms.
